Seasons Presents “An Evening of Food & Wine”
Collierville, TN – Seasons at the White Church will host
a special five-course Wine Dinner on Wednesday, March 17, 2004,
featuring wines from Argentina’s Alamos and Catena wineries.
The evening will be co-hosted by Poplar Wine and Spirits and Billington
Importers. Daryl Gibbs, Billington’s local wine representative,
will introduce each wine and answer questions between courses.
A selection of five wines will be paired with seasonal cuisine
prepared by Seasons’ chef de cuisine, Brian Harwell. The
menu includes a first course of Lump Crab Tamales with Peppercress
and Lobster Vinaigrette served with Alamos Chardonnay Mendoza
2002. The Fish Course offers Grilled Wahoo Medallions, Avocado
Relish, Crispy Shallots, and Chimichurri served with Catena Chardonnay
Mendoza 2002. The Meat Course, Malbec Braised Short Ribs and Creamy
Manchego Grits, served with Alamos Malbec Mendoza 2002. A Game
Course follows, featuring Roasted Duck Breast with Chorizo, Scallion,
and Peruvian Potato Salad, paired with Catena Malbec Mendoza 2001
and Catena Cabernet Sauvignon 2001. The Dessert Course completes
the menu with Pineapple, Mango & White Chocolate Croissant
Bread Pudding with Cajeta Caramel Sauce served with Weingut Eugen
Wehrheim Riesling Spatlese Niersteiner Orbel 2002.
The evening begins at 6:30-6:45; a seated dinner follows. The
cost is $49 per person, which includes wine. Tax and gratuity
are additional. Seating is limited, and advance reservations are
